DIY Day Project #3: Fix a Quirky Thrift Find!

Yesterday, my dad and I went downtown and stopped in some unique-looking thrift stores. We were just looking for fun, but I ended up buying a cool pair of patched capris! (they were only $2.71!) They were amazing, but , as many thrifted items have, it had a hole. Today I decided to fix them up to their deserved wearable condition!

1.) Look for any holes, rips, or missing parts to a thrifted item. Pin it to a dress form (mine is made out of cheetah-print duct tape-click here for tutorial) to get a better look at a garment.
2.) Pin patches onto garment as needed.
3.) Your cat may offer you some help once they see all of the thread you'll be dealing with...

This is my mancoon cat, Ariel! Isn't she cute?
4.) Sew what? Sew it!
5.) After fixing anything and everything the thrifted piece needed, slip it on and strut your stuff! Give your new clothing friend a new exciting life!

Alright, that's all I've got for today! I hope you enjoyed my projects! Get inspired and DIY!! :)
